What I would like to do is have custom icons for all of those. Here I have a bunch of folders on my desktop and they're using the standard blue folder icon from macOS. That way you can easily pick out each folder and know what's inside. So if you have a bunch of folders on your desktop or in your Documents folder you may want to customize the icons.
